When NoMo SoHo partnered with Brooklyn Roasting Company to offer guests coffee from a local and sustainable company, I was asked to come up with ways to market the new partnership. I came up with the idea to create a set of to-go cups, featuring various patterns and branded with both the NoMo SoHo and Brooklyn Roasting Company logos. The NoMo SoHo logo would feature on one side of the cup, and Brooklyn Roasting Company’s on the other.

The idea behind this was to play on the “Instagramability” of these cups. I was inspired by the coffee cups and Maman and noticed that their cups were often photographed and posted on Instagram. People are already grabbing these cups to go with their complimentary coffees in the morning. Why not use this as an opportunity to market NoMo SoHo and NoMo Kitchen? To stay on brand, I decided to use geometric patterns, some of which are seen on the in=room bar menus. Each pattern, while geometric, would be hand drawn, so as to bring a more human element to these patterns, which can sometimes be seen as being too sterile and perfect.
