For this assignment at Parsons, we were tasked with creating an unrelated brand extension for a pre-existing brand. I chose Tatcha, a skincare brand, and chose tea as the extension. We created a brand identity, with a stationery system, magazine advertisements, social media posts, and a promotional piece for the extension. I wanted the brands to look similar enough that the connection between the two brands would be evident, while also giving the extension a new brand identity through the logo, which is reminiscent of a Japanese stamp.
